Jesus the Saviour of the World
Feeling down? Then know Jesus is there for us all and He proved this on the Cross.
Playing by the rules
As we watch the Commonwealth Games of 2018, we are reminded only those who play by the rules can complete the race. Are we playing by the rules God has laid down?
Born of the Spirit
The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the spirit. John 3:8
Have we thought about what we would say to the Lord, when we stand face to face with Him in regard to what he did for us on the Cross.
Crossing the Sea
Have we had the waters parted for us?
If the Lord returned today, would you be able to identify Him in the crowd?
Respect for others.
To live a life with the Lord is also to respect the One who gave us a heart to love others, who gave us a mind to think of others and a spirit to connect with the spirit of God so that we can carry out the first two.
Let go and let God
It is said that christianity has never been tried and found wanting it has been tried and found to difficult and the reason is; we have to let go of self and put our trust in someone other than ourselves.
I have heard of many people being asked why they were not at church but never why they did not take communion. And yet it is religious to take communion every week but not religious going to church every week. Confused?
who come to me shall dwell safely and shall be quiet from the fear of evil.
Happy New Year
The year of 2018 is but a blank canvas just waiting for the Lord to fill the blanks.
Truth verses Lies
The tuth will set us free but lies will keep that truth hidden and we remain in bondage.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but the righteousness delivers from death. Proverbs 10:2
Listening to a friend.
Why do we have two ears but only one mouth?
Walking with the Lord
Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a rich man whose ways are perverse. Proverbs 28:6
Standing with God.
If the God was to stand before us now, where would we stand with God?
Made in the Image
God had to become like us, to save us and therefore make us like Him, as we were in the beginning made in His image.
Churches and Abortion
A friend told me of the abortion stand of the SDA church so I decided to check it out for myself. What I found was a total use of scripture to say abortion was not wrong and confirmed by the teachings of Ellen White. They accused the anti abortion church groups of making man made rules to abortion is wrong and then use the teachings of Ellen White to justify their stand. They ignore the fact and even twist; you shall not kill to say it is not conclusive on the subject, as Moses didn't mention it. They also ignore God hates the death of the innocent, how innocent is an unborn child. Then the writer went on to say the baby, or whatever he called it, there was no evidence in the Bible it was a life. How can churches who say they confess Jesus as Lord then turn around and say any abortion is alright and try to back their stand by using Gods word. The word does not say anything on wife beating, but we know it is morally wrong. The Bible says nothing about the locking up of a spouse so they can’t leave the home but we no it is wrong. Are they saying these are OK? So why do churches say abortion is OK, when it is clear the unborn child is a living being. Just look at a ultra-sound and watch the beating heart. SDA church and any other church who condones abortions for any reason is clearly wrong according to the word of God. As someone once said; how can you justify killing thousands because of the case of a few?
Abortion is done without a thought.
Imagine you are driving on a foggy night and you see a dark figure ahead. It could be a fallen branch. It might even be a little deer, or, God forbid, a little child. Do you keep on driving full speed and crash through it, or put on the brakes? If you think it might be a human person, either dead or alive, what should you do?
Most of us would say that even if we are uncertain, we should stop and check. We should give the benefit of the doubt to something that might be human, and, if it is, treat it with care.
